Cyberpunk 2077 Item Upgrading Guide
It is important to upgrade your equipment in order to maximize your gearing capabilities. It allows you to add extra bonus stats on top of the value of your basic item.
Each upgrade template comes with a set of options which can be configured using the edition GUI. These options include the upgrade reference and the possibility of upgrading.
Upgrade components
As part of the 2.0 update, the method of upgrading the armor and weapons in Cyberpunk has been reworked. Upgrade components are available throughout Night City, and the item you wish to upgrade must have an upgrade slot available. When you select an item to upgrade it will show a preview of what the expected stats will be after upgrading, and the necessary component or item needed. If you don't have the required material or component needed to upgrade the item, the button will show "Blocked."
The items that can be upgraded include weapons and armor and trinkets and gathering tools. The upgrade slots on each of these items can be filled with various upgrades that offer bonus features or other effects while the equipment is being used. These upgrades are available through crafting, bought from a seller, or obtained as rewards.
There are two kinds of upgrades: universal and gemstones. item upgrades which are like gemstones, can be used in any type of equipment, and provide a smaller bonus than other upgrade components. These are easy to obtain because they are dropped by enemies and taken from loot bins all over the world. Gems are, however are obtained by disassembling items or completing certain missions.
Upgrades can be replaced with new upgrades in a weapon's upgrade slot, but doing so could destroy the previous upgrade. Recycled items
